DN Galan will include 16 Diamond League events next year and one of them is 110 m hurdles which was one of the most spectacular events in Diamond League last summer.

Thursday 22 augusti 2013 is a date well worth a note in your almanac because that’s when DN Galan Samsung Diamond League will take place at Stockholm Olympic Stadium.

23.08.2012 - DN Galan still amongst the world's best athletics meets

On Friday 17 August, the Stockholm Stadium Clubs arranged the 46th DN Galan as part of the Samsung Diamond League. The event went smoothly despite organizational challenges in the run-up to the meet with a number of key personnel leaving the organization creating difficult pre-conditions.

But the event itself ended up including 11 Olympic gold-medallists and an additional 27 medallists from the London Games. It led to seven new stadium records from five athletes in thee different events. The winners in the three events were all awarded with diamonds for their performances. more

18.08.2012 - World class throwing by Sandra and Valerie

A total of six stadium records were broken in the women's throwing events where the Olympic champions Sandra Perkovic, discus and Valerie Adams in shot put were awarded with diamonds.

18.08.2012 - Three shining diamonds found their owners at the 46th DN Galan

The athletes and audience experienced perfect conditions at this year's DN Galan. With a temperature of 23 degrees Celsius, sun and without a single breeze, the world's elite gathered to enjoy a night of athletics at the highest level.

Some seven stadium records were broken by five athletes in three different events. The result was three one-carat diamonds for each new record holder; Julija Zaripova, 3000m steeplechase, Sandra Perkovic, discus and Valerie Adams in the shot put. more
